This will be a long story with a very happy ending. I was born in Poughkeepsie many years ago. I graduated from Poughkeepsie High School, went to college, and eventually settled in San Diego, where I have lived since 1980.
My family home, which my grandparents had built in the 1920s, finally needed to be sold. A good friend of mine, Howard Smith, a Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices agent in San Diego, offered to find a real estate agent in Poughkeepsie for me. That's when I met Debra Allan.
